CANTINA DEL CONTE

In the year 1921 Pelissero Francesco bought  the farmhouse (where the business is located today) and the first vineyards starting a few years after the production of Dolcetto and Barbera wines.

 

However, it was the entrepreneurial ability, the dedication and the great attachment to his own lands of his son Sergio that gave a turning point to the family winery. At the turn of the 60s and 70s Sergio expanded his vineyard possessions in the hills of Grinzane Cavour, made new and more modern systems and inaugurated a shop (the Cantina del Conte) where people could taste and buy his wines.

 

Today Sergio and his family continue in this wonderful activity following with great love and passion all the stages of the production process, from the vineyard to the bottle in compliance with the best and most traditional production techniques.

 

At the Cantina del Conte you can get to know and discover the great red wines of the Langhe they produce, starting with the dear good old man Dolcetto, passing through the notable ones  Barbera, Nebbiolo  and then finishing with the king Barolo and queen Barbaresco.
